They are especially useful when a single characteristic, such as a cross hole or groove, located at a known depth are is to be viewed. They are also useful when used to prevent the SIGHT-PIPE® from bottoming out in a bore or cavity.

Stop Collars are available in two styles, as shown to the right.  

Regular Stop Collars are set to a fixed position on the SIGHT-PIPE®, and Adjustable Stop Collars have an adjustment collar that is used to more precisely establish the depth relationship desired.

Both styles use a "No-Mar" clamping technique. Stop Collars are made from Delrin™, and are available to fit SIGHT-PIPES® with diameters ranging from .125 to .500. To locate the proper stop collar for your SIGHT-PIPE® move to the tabulated charts for the Regular series or the tabulated charts for the 360 series.

Stop Collars to fit larger diameter SIGHT-PIPE® are available upon request.

The SIGHT-PIPE® can be clamped into the Adapter so it is free to rotate, or so the SIGHT-PIPE® is retained in a fixed radial position.

Light Input adapters can be used with a wide range of light sources, including our handy Portable Illuminator and full size Fiber Optic Illuminator.

When the adapter is used in conjunction with a portable illuminator, the "A" dimension, found on the section view at the right, is .250.

Light Input Adapters with a different "A" diameter, if used with another light source, are available upon request. Also Light Input Adapters to fit larger diameter SIGHT-PIPES® are available upon request.

PORTABLE ILLUMINATORS supply supplemental light to SIGHT-PIPES®, when used in conjunction with Light Input Adapters.

The main component is a modified industrial grade aluminum Pen-Light powered by two included AA batteries. The chart below shows the type of Light Guide supplied with each of the three models available.

CCTV (Closed circuit TV) 

CCTV (Closed circuit TV) Systems are available to adapt to our Boreview™ and Modular Measuring stand systems.
