"Prove Concept" SP-MVD Demonstration Kit
| The new SIGHT-PIPE® Machine Vision Demo Kit ( (SP-MVD) gives machine vision integrators the ability to demonstrate their vision capabilities on "difficult to view" internal areas otherwise inaccessible with conventional lenses. This kit allows operators to quickly and easily demonstrate and test first hand how their system can inspect for a variety of internal defects and conditions. The SIGHT-PIPES® in the kit are designed to inspect the included Sight Master™ sample part, allowing for the simplest demonstration of the most common internal viewing concepts and defects. Once an individual commits to a concept, a custom SIGHT-PIPE® and or system to work with his part can be designed and built. |

The demonstration kit consists of two different
SIGHT-PIPES®, a Sight Master™ (a mock piece part to replicate various defects
and conditions), a ring light assembly with a fiber optic light guide, and a
series of extension rings. The kit is packaged in a durable, foam filled
injected molded case.
You will need to provide the Tamron lens (or we can provide also), Fiber Optic Illuminator, and camera or sensor and vision components (software, hardware etc.). We can also help in these areas if necessary. |
| The unit is designed to be used with a standard Tamron 25mm lens
(shown attached at right)
which utilizes both a manual, adjustable iris and focus, each with a locking set
screw to hold position. The
SIGHT-PIPE® assembly then mounts to the standard lens via the filter thread located on the front of the lens. The lens in turn mounts to your existing sensor
or camera c-mount.

Higher Magnification Systems
The Boreview™ System has been used successfully to integrate illumination and an internal high magnification view of various piece parts and conditions with vision and video systems. The most recent addition of the Boreview™ Machine Vision System (BV-MV-R) incorporates 10 or optional 20 power magnification with a ring light and adjustable "centering" SIGHT-PIPE®.
"Prove Design" SIGHT-PIPES® for Vision System Experimentation
An alternative quick and easy way to test a prospective application and/or demonstrate a concept, is through the use of either a Regular Series or 360 View™ Series style of hand held SIGHT-PIPE®. These "stand alone" SIGHT-PIPES® can be ordered standard in a large variety of length to diameter ratios at the most economical cost. They also allow the greatest flexibility when experimenting with a variety of illumination and lens forms. To learn more about how a SIGHT-PIPE® works, go to our "What IS a SIGHT-PIPE®?" section. If you plan on using a SIGHT-PIPE® with another lens assembly ask us to remove the radius on the head of the SIGHT-PIPE® when ordering.
Special sizes can also be made to accommodate requested sizes which do not fall within our standard product list. Sorry, we do not send "trial" SIGHT-PIPES® out on consignment.
